This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create and configure Gate.io API keys for your Cryptobots.io account. By following these steps, you will enable secure and automated trading. You will need to log in to your Gate.io account and have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled.
1. Log in to Your Gate.io Account
Open your web browser and navigate to www.gate.io.
Enter your credentials to log in to your account.
2. Navigate to API Management and Create Key
Once logged in, you will access the API management section to begin creating your new API key.
Click the profile icon, then select [API Management].
Before creating an API key, ensure you have completed the following prerequisites:
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account.
Verify your identity.
Click [Create API].
3. Configure API Key Details and Permissions
You will now provide a name for your API key, bind IP addresses for security, and select the necessary permissions for automated trading with Cryptobots.
Provide your API with a name.
Enter a name or label for the new API key, such as 'Cryptobots'.
Allow access to cryptobots.io IP addresses.
Select "Bind IP (Recommended)".
In the IP address field, please enter the following IP addresses and press confirm:
103.26.9.0/24
Choose API v4 Key and a Classic Account type.
Select Permissions.
Please select the following permissions and click on the Submit button:
[Spot/Margin Trade] -> [Read and Write] - For spot strategies.
[Perpetual Contract] -> [Read and Write] - For derivatives strategies.
[Wallet] -> [Read And Write] - This is necessary to display the balances correctly.
Carefully read the Risk Reminder, tick both paragraphs, and click I Accept.
4. Finalize Key Creation and Integration
Complete the security verification and then copy your newly generated API keys into your Cryptobots.io account to finalize the setup.
Enter your Fund Password, choose your 2FA Authentication method, enter its code, and confirm.
Copy your keys and submit them to Cryptobots.io.
Log in to your Cryptobots.io account and enter your API Key and Secret Key into the designated fields.
Congratulations! You have successfully created and submitted your API keys. Please allow 24 hours for the automated trading system to start.
Important Trading Reminder
If you intend to trade futures with Gate.io, please ensure you have a little BTC and/or USDT transferred to the respective BTC Perpetual and USDT Perpetual wallets before you link to Cryptobots.io.
