This guide explains how to create Bitget API keys and connect your Bitget account to Cryptobots.io. By following these steps, you will generate the necessary API credentials and configure permissions to enable secure trading bot functionality.

1. Log in to Your Bitget Account

To begin, access your Bitget exchange account:

  1. Open your preferred web browser and navigate to www.bitget.com.

  2. Enter your credentials to log in securely.

2. Navigate to API Management

Once logged in, locate the API management section:

  1. Click the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen to open your account menu.

  2. From the dropdown menu, click API Keys to access the API Keys section.

3. Create and Configure Your API Key

Proceed with generating your new API key:

  1. Click the Create API button.

  1. You will have the option to have Bitget's system generate your API keys. This is the popular and recommended choice.

  1. Provide your API with a name and a passphrase:

    • Provide a descriptive name or label for the new API key, such as 'cryptobots'.

    • Create a strong "password" for the API key, also known as a passphrase (e.g., "passphrase1"). Our system will need this passphrase to connect to your account and execute trades.

Important: Remember your passphrase. It acts as an additional layer of security for your API key and will be required by Cryptobots.io to connect to your account.

4. Set API Permissions and IP Whitelist

Configure the necessary permissions and allow access for Cryptobots.io IP addresses:

  1. Before providing the API information to Cryptobots.io, you will need to make sure that the correct API permissions are selected. Ensure the following permissions are enabled:

    • Read-write

    • Orders

    • Holdings

  1. In the IP address field, please enter the following IP addresses. You can simply copy and paste the entire list:

5. Complete Security Verification and Connect to Cryptobots.io

Finalize the API key creation and connect it to your Cryptobots.io account:

  1. Complete the security verification process. You'll receive a code via email (after clicking the "send" button).

  2. After that, you'll generate and enter the code from your Google Authenticator app:

    • Enter the email authentication code.

    • Enter your 2FA code from your authenticator app.

  1. Once verification is complete, Bitget will display your new API Key and Secret Key. Copy these keys.

  2. Log in to your Cryptobots.io account and enter your API Key and Secret Key into the designated fields. You can simply copy and paste them.
